In short

What does AV installation include?

AV installation covers the design, wiring and setup of a home's audio and video as one system — whole-home and outdoor speakers, TV and display mounting with concealed wiring, source and streaming gear centralized in one rack, and a single app or remote to control every room.

The difference design makes

Music where you are, wires where you can't see them

There's a difference between a TV on a wall and a system in a home. One leaves cables dangling and a speaker in the corner; the other puts sound in the ceiling, equipment in a closet, and one volume knob where your hand expects it. We install the second kind.

  • In-ceiling and in-wall speakers, properly placed
  • TVs mounted with zero visible wiring
  • Sources racked in one closet, not under every TV
  • Music that follows you room to room
  • Outdoor zones for patio and pool
What we design

Sound and picture, everywhere it matters

Hidden equipment

One rack in a closet feeds every room; no boxes under every screen.

Outdoor audio

Outdoor and landscape speaker installation

Backyard sound should fill your space, not the neighbourhood. We install weather-rated landscape and patio speakers — planned in zones so the deck, pool and garden each get even, controlled coverage from the same app that runs your indoor audio.

  • Landscape "satellite" speakers and buried subwoofers for even lawn coverage
  • Patio and deck speakers rated for Canadian winters — left outside year-round
  • Rock and planter speakers that disappear into the landscaping
  • Volume and zones controlled from your phone, alongside the indoor system
  • Wiring run cleanly from the same central rack — no visible cable along the wall

Outdoor audio is usually added to a whole-home system, but we also install patio zones on their own. Design your outdoor audio zones →

Our standard

Equipment in one closet, entertainment in every room

The mark of a professional AV installation is what you don't see: no cable loops behind the TV, no receivers stacked in the living room, no speaker wire along the baseboard. Everything lives in one ventilated rack — centralized, labelled, and serviceable — while the rooms stay clean.

Retrofit-friendly — most finished homes can be wired cleaner than you'd expect.

Typical projects

What a typical audio video project looks like

Common starting point: five remotes, a speaker in one room and a TV drowning in cables. What we do: whole-home audio, clean display installs in the rooms that matter and a single equipment rack in a closet. The outcome: music in every room and not a wire in sight.

Most of our audio video work is whole-home audio paired with clean TV and display installs — sound in the ceiling, screens on the wall and the gear tucked out of sight in one rack.

How it works

Designed, installed and supported by one team

1 · Consultation

We walk the property and learn how you live or work in it.

2 · Design

Scenes, rooms, devices and the network are planned as one system.

3 · Installation

Clean mounting, labelled wiring and everything tested room by room — wire concealment planned per wall before a single bracket goes up.

4 · Programming & training

Scenes tuned, users set up and everyone shown how the system works.

5 · Support

Changes, additions and updates handled by the team that built it.

Commercial AV

Audio video for businesses, too

The same AV installers who wire homes handle offices, retail and hospitality — background music systems, boardroom video, menu-board and display setups, all built and supported by one team.

  • Zoned background audio for restaurants, retail and gyms
  • One-touch boardroom AV and video calls
  • Displays, video walls and digital signage

Questions

Audio video FAQs

Do you do “just” TV mounting?

Yes — and we do it properly: concealed wiring, the right mount for the wall, and clean cable paths, whether it's one TV or ten.

Can we get music in multiple rooms without visible speakers?

Yes — in-ceiling and in-wall architectural speakers disappear into the room and are our standard for whole-home audio.

Our home is already finished — is it too late?

Rarely. Wireless-capable zones and careful fishing of walls mean most finished homes can still get clean whole-home audio.

Do outdoor speakers survive Canadian winters?

Yes — we install weather-rated landscape and patio speakers designed to stay outside year-round.

Can everything run from one app?

Yes — rooms, sources and volume unify on one platform. Learn more about Control4 →

What does whole-home audio cost?

It scales by zones and speaker tier — a consultation maps your rooms to a real number.

What is the difference between audio video and audio visual installation?

None that matters — "audio video," "audio visual" and "AV installation" describe the same work: designing and wiring a property's sound and picture as one system. We handle both residential and commercial audio visual installation end to end.

Do you install AV in both homes and businesses?

Yes. The same AV installers cover whole-home audio and clean TV installs for residences, plus background music, boardroom AV and digital signage for offices, retail and hospitality. See our commercial AV and automation →

How much does AV installation cost?

It's priced by scope — how many rooms and zones, the speaker tier, and whether outdoor audio is included — so a small setup is very different from a whole-home system. We give a firm number after a consultation that maps your actual rooms.

Can you add outdoor speakers to an existing indoor system?

In most cases, yes. If your system supports another zone we add weather-rated patio or landscape speakers and control them from the same app. If not, we'll show you the cleanest way to extend it during the consultation.

Do you handle the home theatre side as well as everyday AV?

Yes — everyday AV is whole-home audio and clean displays, while a dedicated cinema room is its own project. If you're weighing a media room, our home theatre planning guide walks through room fit, seating and budget.
